The Longueteau House
Since 1895, the Longueteau Distillery has been making an Agricultural Rum from the sugar cane plantations of the Domaine du Marquisat de Sainte Marie, located at the foot of the Soufrière massif. The estate is composed of 12 plots of 2 varieties of sugar cane, the Red Cane (R-579) and the Blue Cane (B69-566). Each plot of land on the estate is cultivated and selected to convey the expression of an exceptional terroir, the perfect combination of soil, environment and family know-how.
The Longueteau distillery is the only distillery in Guadeloupe that is 100% self-sufficient in sugar cane. The agricultural rum produced in this way allows us to elaborate a collection of high quality, rewarded for several years in national and international competitions such as the Concours Agricole de Paris and the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. LONGUETEAU® rums are among the most prestigious in the French West Indies.
